Not sure what to pack in your diaper bag when traveling with baby? Here’s a list that might help!
First of all, be sure you’ve got a diaper bag with which you’re comfortable with all the pockets and details you may need and want. Here are a couple of great choices:
The Baby K’tan® Smartgear Diaper Bag
This diaper bag is really cool because it brings a built-in wet bag with anti-microbial lining that is completely washable and food safe. It’s got a cell phone holder and can hold tablets or laptops (of up to 14”). A cross-body strap is included so you can wear it over the shoulder, stroller straps that easily connect to your stroller’s handlebars, and an anti-microbial changing pad.
Ergobaby Diaper Bag
You can never go wrong with anything Ergobaby and their diaper bags are no exception. They offer two different models: The Walk in the Park and Anywhere I Go.
The Walk in the Park is a messenger-type bag that comes in 3 different colors. It’s made of water-repellant fabric that’s easy to clean and has 15 pockets, including a special one just for your pacifier! It comes with a padded shoulder-strap and water-repellant changing pad.
Anywhere I Go is a backpack-type diaper bag if your prefer something sportier. It has 13 pockets, insulated space for bottles or snacks and is made of water-repellant fabric. It also brings a changing pad that's nice and comfy.
Let’s get moving!
Never leave home without your wallet, passports and books and toys for the kiddoes. Choose a bag that offers you lots of storage options but most of all easy access to important things like your documents and money.
When traveling with baby, a great idea is to wear shoes that you can easily slip on and off without having to use your hands. Consider getting a comfortable pair of mules that are also back in style!
Avoid having to endlessly pick up and wash your baby’s pacifier with some baby clips. They are ever so practical and there are lots with cute prints that baby will love!
Consider getting some neck pillows for baby if you're traveling by plane. They are just wonderful for naptime, making baby more secure should there be turbulence or any unexpected jolt. Try getting something cute and entertaining like the animal ones from Critter Piller.
Any and all types and kinds of snacks that your toddler can eat: crackers, cookies, yogurt dots, fruit leather. Anything. Carry an assortment of options in a variety of presentations. Sippies and pouches are always a good choice.
If your baby is on bottles, carry some extra formula with you in ziplock bags along with a refillable water bottle. That way you can prepare a bottle whenever you need to. Just be sure to fill up after TSA.
Always carry extra diapers, bibs and fresh outfits. Silicone bibs are an excellent accessory to carry: they don't weigh much, are super easy to store and you can clean them in a nano-instant!
Well, you're now ready to roam the world with your baby!
